The Passing of Time and How it Can make or Break You

Time..... Our mortal enemy or our greatest friend! 

Today's World is insane! Get here, do this, take care of that! Rush, rush, rush! There never seems to be enough time in a day to accomplish all the things we think are crucial to be done but..........are these things really that crucial? Will our lives end if one thing on the "to do" list doesn't get done? No, not at all - Tomorrow, the Sun will rise, the World will turn and life will go on ..  I know this because not long ago, all those critically important things I had to do came to a screeching halt!

Not long ago, I  was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and told that I'd probably been a diabetic for 10 years and never knew it .. My first question was "how is that even possible? How can I (or anyone) have this disease for 10 years and not know it?" My Doctor(s) told me that diabetes is "silent" and only makes itself known when it becomes "bad" .. Well, mine got "bad" and made itself known by attacking my vagus nerve system, shutting down my digestive system causing a condition known as "gastroparesis"  - What this means in layman terms is that my stomach, and digestive system were essentially paralyzed .. I lost over 85lbs in less than 3 months and went from 215LBS (I'm 6' tall) to less than 130LBS - I was in constant pain, lost all of my energy and was literally fighting for my life ...  Again, life can change in the blink of an eye and mine did!  All those "critical" things I had / wanted to do fell to the side and all I could focus on was not dying.

I went through test after test after test .. I was poked, prodded, X-rayed, scanned, etc, etc, etc .. They drew enough blood from me to start a small blood bank and prescribed more medications then I could count and they (Doctors) still couldn't figure out what was happening to me ..

One day, an attorney friend of mine who's wife is a cancer survivor told me about what his wife was doing, and that the treatment she was taking was helping her get well! What he told me was astonishing but, at this point I was will to try / do anything to get healthy again .. His wife had started going in for acupuncture, herbal treatments, and using CBD oil .... I thought "I've got nothing to lose" so I started doing the same thing and within a very short time frame, started feeling better, gaining weight back and regaining my energy! The best part is that the more natural / holistic treatments I had, the less pharmaceuticals I found myself taking! Today, I've gained back almost 50lbs, feel stronger and more energetic and am only taking my diabetes medications, herbal supplements and muti-vitamins. My stomach / digestive system works and I'm getting better .. Amazing!

This blog isn't about me rambling on about a medical condition, it's about the importance of time, and how well we utilize it to make ourselves happy and fulfilled,

Life is so short my friends! It can be altered or gone in a second! Take care of yourselves, take time to smell the rose's, slow down a little, spend time with your families, loved ones and friends, do things that you enjoy and less time doing things that stress you out - I have / do and it's amazing how much better I'm feeling these days ...

I'm sorry if I rambled but what's happened to me was so life altering and dramatic that I felt I had to share it in hopes that maybe my message can / will help others take pause to reflect of what's truly important in life, and realize that this is their life - Not a dress rehearsal

Why do so many people fail online and in life?

Greetings from the Colorado Rocky Mountains everyone!

I’ve spoken on this before and I feel the need to expand on the subject more

People fail in life out of fear, self-doubt, and beliefs embedded in their hearts and minds long ago by other people who were / are 100% wrong! These people were usually Parents, Teachers, siblings or others of influence and authority in our lives –

Again, these people were / are 100% wrong about the negativity they instilled in us but, to their defense, I believe they just didn’t know any better and were operating under bad information embedded in them by others long before we showed up – Sadly, these people only knew how to continue the cycle, and not break it!

You and only you, can, and need to get rid of this bad information and you can because the answers / healing are things you already possess if you're bold enough to reach inside of yourself, pull out that bad stuff and examine it for what it is, pure poison! 

Potential is a "vicious" cycle fueled by our beliefs - If we believe our potential is low, then our actions and results will reflect that accordingly, and when we fail or achieve minimal results, that goes to reinforce our original belief - Do you see how destructive our own thoughts can be to ourselves? It's no one else's "fault" but our own as we are the ones choosing to believe / disbelieve in ourselves and WE are the only ones that can correct and redirect this thinking - 

The way to bolster our belief / potential and results in any aspect of life is to get out of the old "comfort zone" and do things that challenge us more every single day .. it's a daily ritual - each day we do a little more, learn a little more, accomplish a little more until it becomes who and what we are and who we've always known we could be - Hang out with positive people / winners and it will rub off ..  Keep making excuses for failure / why you won't or can't achieve more and being around others that do the same, and you've sealed your own fate - 

This is a self-fulling prophecy - You're not alone but will remain so if YOU don't take the little daily actions to push a little harder and further each day but, it all starts by forgiving the past, and returning that past to its rightful owner – Those who gave it to you! 

Anyone can do this my friends. Anyone can overcome the negativity of their pasts, and live the lives of freedom and joy they desire if they really want it!

The journey starts and ends inside yourself 

Fear is an illusion - Failure is a stepping stone to success - Learn from your trials, overcome them and use them as tools to build the whole new you!

When it comes to starting an online business with Fiverr, there are certain things you will need to do in order to become successful. 

Anyone can create a Fiverr account and earn a little money, but they don’t make a business out of it. If you want to turn your Fiverr experience into a successful online business, take a look at the following steps.

Step 1 – Account Name & Profile Image

It is important to create a professional account name and profile image. Come up with a name that sounds professional and has to do with what you will be offering. List everything that the person will receive and everything you will need to fulfill the order. Once you have everything like you want it, post your gig. 

Step 5 – Promoting Your Gig

In order to be successful, you will need to promote your gig. There are many ways to promote your gig, so promote away if you want to be successful.

Keep in mind that it will take time to build this online business up! But you can do it and it does pay really well once you get off the ground. It is important that you maintain professional while you are creating these gigs.

Google Page Rank Simplified

The blog-o-sphere is buzzing with news that we are just weeks (if not days) away from the next Google PageRank update. But what is Google Pagerank?

It gets complicated. And when I say complicated I mean Einstein-esque complicated. The Google PageRank explanation isn't for the faint of heart. So... if you have heart conditions, blod clots, emphysema, are pregnant, nursing or could become pregnant... Look the other way... NOW!

Google PageRank History

Google PageRank was developed in the mid 90's by Larry Page and Sergey Brin at Stanford University. The two worked tirelessly for 3 years on an algorithm that could produce a numerical ranking of webpages based on a number of factors (we'll get to those in a second).

After a successful prototype was created in 1998, the two went on to found Google shortly after. The Google PageRank became the standard by which Google now ranks webpages.

The PageRank Algorithm

I'm going to zoom right through this part because this is where it gets complicated. I just want to show you the world famous algorithm.

PR(A) = (1-d) + d (PR(T1)/C(T1) + ... + PR(Tn)/C(Tn)) where PR(A) is the PageRank of page A, PR(Ti) is the PageRank of pages Ti which link to page A,C(Ti) is the number of outbound links on page Ti and d is a damping factor

This is the original Google PageRank algorithm as discovered by Page, and Brin. 

It has undergone a lot of changes since then, and the ACTUAL algorithm that is used now remains somewhat mysterious. 

So What Exactly Is A PageRank?

Google PageRank is defined by a number from 0-10 (10 being the highest). It is, essentially, a vote of confidence from the community. The higher the PageRank, the more "trusted" your site is by Google. That said, the links from these sites are also highly trusted (more on that later).

What Does Google PageRank Mean To Me?

PageRank or PR, in short, means EVERYTHING! If you are aspiring to build a great site that generates tons of revenue and loads of daily visitors, PageRank is very important. There is a huge misconception floating around that Google PageRank also determines your search engine results placement (or SERP). This is not, and has never been true. On Google alone, it is a SMALL factor. When I say a small factor, I mean it is only one of a couple dozen factors. None of the other search engines use PageRank to determine their results.

That said, Google PageRank IS a very important statistic for a monetized blog or site. It is one of the deciding factors when determining everything from how much you charge advertisers, to the overall value of your site if you should go to sell it. Some sites even charge other sites for a link if their page has a high enough PageRank. I'll get into this in a minute.

How Do I Get A High Google PageRank?

Pray!  Actually the single most effective way to build a PageRank all has to do with a very basic blog principle. Write quality content! It's that simple.... kinda.

Google PageRank is a system that relies heavily on links. Incoming and outgoing links are the biggest factor in your PageRank. You know how I'm always preaching "link love"? This is one of the reasons (besides my strong desire to better the community). Every link that comes into your site (linkback, trackback, backlink) is given a value. The overall value of your incoming links weighs heavily on your Google PageRank.

Every link is assigned a value based on how high the site that linked to you is rated. For example... if you had 1,000 incoming links from websites that don't have a PageRank, it might not weigh as heavily as having 100 incoming links from a site with a PR 5. As I mentioned above, the higher the PageRank, the more trusted the site is. Therefore, when it comes to incoming links, the higher the PageRank of the links, the better your chances of increasing your PageRank. The higher your PageRank, the more leverage you have as a blogger.

There are also factors that you can't control when it comes to PR. The older your site is, the more trusted it becomes and therefore, it is looked upon in a favorable way by Google. Google wants lots of pages, lots of incoming links to said pages, and lots of internal links to your pages. That means that you should try to link to as many pages inside your site as possible. This shouldn't be hard, because it only helps your cause. A "recent post" category in your sidebar is an example of an internal link.

Some people even BUY incoming links from sites with a high Google PageRank. I don't condone this on either end though. For one it costs money and it isn't really cost effective for a new blogger. And secondly, the sites that do this are usually punished when Google finds out.

Conclusion

This was just the basics of how Google PageRank works. I'm no expert, but it should help you out as you are getting started. I hope this helps un-mystify PR a little bit.

In closing, I'll tell you this... The fastest way to build Google Page Rank is to get linked to other authority sites A LOT!  Also, I mentioned that writing quality content was the way to build Google Page Rank, and here is how. The more quality content you put into your blog, the more pages you accumulate. Google likes sites with a lot of pages and quality content.. the more pages / quality content you write, the more you get linked to other similar sites. 

Incoming links mean sweet Page Rank improvement, and gaining a few awesome readers!

It’s all up to you to realize success or failure

Good morning

As we approach the New Year, it’s time to take stock of what we’ve done in 2014 to improve ourselves as people, and as online marketers

Statistically close to 92% of people looking to earn more money online will become frustrated with failure, and quit … I sincerely hope you’re not one of these people

The remaining 8% are those who learn from mistakes, and continue on to realize their dreams and make money!

Earning money online is not easy in spite of what these so called “guru’s” want you to believe and / or “instant, overnight miracle” system they are trying to sell you ..

I've been marketing online for over 20 years and trust me when I tell you, there is NO SUCH THING as “push button, do nothing and get paid” systems or business’s online …  Everything we do as online business people will absolutely require us to put in time, effort, and resources.

If you treat your business like a hobby, that’s exactly what you can expect in return! If you take your online business as seriously as you take your career and / or offline business, you will be amazed at how successful you can and will become! This is what makes up the difference in the “success / failure” statistics I mentioned early ….  92% of new marketers fail simply because they do not take what they are doing seriously, and believe / fall for the sales hype they see online. I’m sorry to say this but, these folks are victims of their own foolishness and greed…. They will NEVER succeed because they do not invest the time needed to educate themselves and learn from their mistakes versus continuing to repeat them over and over again … Clearly understand the “guru’s” know this and intentionally target these people by creating new system after new system to take their money … 

This is how THEY (the gurus) get rich!

So now it’s time to look back over the year and honestly ask yourself “Am I one of the 92% or am I one of the 8%?” Your answers should come easily if you take an honest inventory of how you’ve conducted your business. 

Did you?

•  Find a business / opportunity that match’s your personality and stick with it, or did you leap frog from one “shiny thing” to another chasing rainbows and unicorns?
•  Develop a sales / marketing plan and set your marketing budget accordingly or are you one of those people that thinks everything should be “free” and buckets of money will fall from the sky rewarding you for doing nothing?
•  Research your market, and find effective advertising sources to your target market or did you sit on Facebook all day posting free ads that real people never read or see?

Of the questions above, which person are you? 

If you are the “freebie seeking, tire kicking” type, I’d suggest you either re-think your marketing strategies, or simply quit now and go find a job because you’ll never be successful expecting maximum returns for zero investment!

If you want to be one of the 8% that makes it online and achieves your hopes, dreams and goals, you need to put in the work / investments REQUIRED to make that happen, PERIOD!

STOP chasing rainbows and jumping from one “get rich quick” scheme / scam to another, find an opportunity or business that match’s your personality, morals, and ethics and stick with it! Create an action plan, develop a marketing budget (yes, you will need to spend money for GOOD advertising!) search the net and find GOOD advertising resources and STOP  spinning your wheels / WASTING your time posting free ads on FB or other social media sites that NO ONE ever reads!

Place a value on your time, and adopt practices that will bring a REAL return on your investments!

Albert Einstein once said “The definition of insanity is repeating the same behaviors, and expecting different results”  Stop doing what doesn't work, and start doing what does!
